My thoughts on the State of the Union Address and a fasinating letter

If you don't have Face Book or if you haven't read the post, I posted, here is our feeling on the State of the Union Address:

As we listened to the state of the union last night we (and perhaps some of you) cringed and trembled. Forgive us for bringing up the nasty subject of politics but some things just need to be said. We pray that this country will be lead by inspired Christian, constitutionalists unlike OBAMA. let us do our part in every way we can to stick up for what's right. God bless this divinely chosen country.

The next issue:

I was listening to Glen Beck this morning ( I enjoy listening to his remarks on what is just and what needs to happen in this country in morning on my way to work) and an advertisement came on about a website. I didn't think much about it, but as my curiosity soared I looked it up.

Please check it out; it's www.endofamerica44.com I know it sound super fishy and extreme but it's so legitimate at least from what I know and feel so far.

It discusses where America is going and how financially we will fail miserably some time (not that we aren't now, but it's going to get way worse). I have no under laying reason to endorse or promote this guy, Porter Stansberry and his website/letter.

I am only asking you to at least scan through it, so that you can become more aware. YOU'VE GOT TOO. Because you most likely will be effected by what the politicians of this day are doing and issues like Stansberry is discussing. If you are not effected by all the crap that's going on right now, YOUR CHILDREN WILL FOR SURE. So start to care if you don't. From health care or "global warming" to illegal immigration you will be effected by it whether you like it or not.

Lastly, Alicia and I just read Mosiah 29 in the Book of Mormon and it is full of awesome points of how government should work and how King Mosiah and Alma and others did great things for their people. May we be a little more like those great men.

Houston Texas

Houston is a place where I served an lds mission. from 2006-2008. What an experience! I would do it again if I could. The aportunites and endless changes were awesome. I was expecting when I arrived barrane lands and tumble weeds, this is not H-town. The city is big and spacious. The surrounding areas are filled with developed subberbs. My area covered many miles south of the city. As I headed south in my areas, the land did get a little bit more barrane. There was much diverisity, not only with the geography but with the people. The culture there is very different, if not foreign then what I am used to growing up in Utah Valley. The people are very friendly for the most part and down to earth. They take much pride in there state and culture. I enjoyed observing what the Texans were like. The are proud of their barbequeing skills and southern food. I was feed very well most of the time. There was many religions there as, many christian churchs, muslum, hyndui, and even agnostics?atheists. I loved learning about these other religions. This mission I served has changed my life and I will reffer back to it the rest of my life. What a perculiar world we live in. I cant wait to learn of other cultures and area's of the world.
